windows xp

I'm planning on buying a customized pc and wanted to know what the difference between windows xp home edition 2002 which I have and windows xp home edition which you get now. I don't want to spend money on a OS if I don't have to.

Newest Home Edition will have SP2 embedded in it. No big deal since you can download SP2..

However if you are using the copy of windows you already have on another PC, you will need to get a new copy and might as well get the version with the SP2 update already on it.
