Get rid of user profiles but keep settings, win98?
I have different user profiles enabled with windows networking in windows 98 and I want to get rid of them. The problem is I want to keep the settings from a specific user profile. If I get rid of user profiles which settings will I be left with?
Another option would be to automatically log in to my prefered profile, so I can skip the windows networking dialogue at startup. Is there any way to do this? Thanks in advance Last edited by catquas; 11-19-2005 at 08:29 PM. |

Scroll down.
Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows 98, and Windows 95 Download TweakUI (version 1.33). Unzip tweakui.zip using an unzip utility, such as WinZip, and place the files in a new folder in a convenient location, such as your desktop. Right-click on the tweakui.inf file and select Install to install it on your system. To start TweakUI, double-click the TweakUI icon in Control Panel. Note: there's a bug in this installer (it's been there since the very first release, except for the new version for Windows XP). If it prompts you to insert a disk or specify the location of the Tweakui files, just point to the folder containing the files you just unzipped, and click Ok. |
