Startup programs - Win 95

The short time I used Win95, I read posts about deleting programs from Startup, but not actually deleting the programs themselves. Bud of mine running low on memory and ctrl alt del shows 20+ running in background. I know msconfig takes care of this in Win98, but need a refresher on how in Win 95. I've searched around to no avail, and don't wish to mislead him. I also know there are numerous other places where programs are "started" besides the start menu, but don't want to visit that just yet.

Open the registry editor and look under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Or Startup Control Panel if you don't want to play with registry. Very good program.
