Question System logs

Does Windows XP keep some kind of log about starting and shutting down times? I need to know at what exact time I turned off the computer last thursday night.

TIA for any help.

You should be able to infer it from the eventviewer from Control panel > Administrative tools > Event Viewer (or Start > Run > eventvwr.msc). Look up system logs. There should be cyclic events that you can pretty much narrow down to something related to a system startup or shutdown.

Fantastic!!

Yes, now I can prove that it wasn't me who had the music blasting at 0400 that day, yes.

Thanx, Statica.
