Is there a way to hide folders in Windows XP like the System Volume Information folder

Not sure about hiding folders but you can limit access by setting permissions If you remove the tick from the simple file sharing in windows explorer\tools\view you can then set permisions for user access.

You can make the System Volume Information folder dissappear by going into Tools > Options > View (from Explorer, ie My computer) and check off Do not show hidden folder and files
I think that should do it. Why do you want to hide the System Volume folder?

Why do you want to hide these folders? You can't get rid of them, but you should be able to hide them:

You can hide any folder with a program called Advanced hide folders heres the link-
http://www.tucows.com/preview/311088 It can be set in Stealth mode so the actual program itself dosent show up anywhere unless you press certian keys to open it. Great program i use it myself. |
