installing xp off a hidden partition
if i create a fat32 hidden partition with the xp CD files on it will i be able to access that partition from dos off a 98 boot disk.
also if it is possible will it take the C: drive letter when i install xp making the xp partition D:? i know you can install xp from dos using the xp cd files, with i386

I`d be happy to help if you explain what a fat32 hidden partition is.
As far as installing from DOS. Unless I`m mistaken the install won`t start from a DOS session. There is a method to install from floppy but it requires like 6 floppies and I honestly don`t know anyone who has successfully installed that way. |

ive installed it from dos, you copy the i386 folder to C: then run winnt, it starts up the xp installation as if from the cd, a fat32 hidden partition is what it says it is, a fat32 partition that has been set to hidden in windows, so windows cant see it
