splat File sharing with two computer local network

Hi again! Appreciate the help from multimedia group. I now have linked my two computers via wired router so both can access the internet. This was necessary because I captured a vhs video tape that turned into a HUGE .mpg file.

The dual layer DVD burner is on my regular computer. The .mpg file is on my video editing computer. The .mpg file is too large to put on cd, dvd or zip drive. I was told about setting up file sharing in XP, but it's not working.

Do I have to name the same drive for sharing? I'm going to keep on with research, but would appreciate any guidance.

Both computers run on XP professional.

Thanks,

first they both need to having "sharings files" on. then they need to be in the same workgroup. after you put "share files and printers" on reboot.
