Xp Service Pack 2

Yesterday I had to reinstall my OS on my daughters machine... The copy of windows comes wth service pack 1a.. Now I want to update to service pack 2 put ony have a dial up connection.... Here is my question Can it be downloaded on a computer that has a faster connection and burned to a CD then installed?????

Yes, you can do that. Microsoft actually encourages you to pass the SP2 package around to others. Download link Order it on a disk from microsoft link

Thanks for the reply. Now I assume I can download it burn it on to a disk then install later?

And after downloading you could slipstream SP2 with your copy of XP ao that if you ever need to reload again SP2 will be part of the install.
