connecting to cable connection with win2000

I have jsut gotten my build up... and I have installed the ethernet drivers. My computer doesnt seem to want to get online at all.

restart
right click My computer, manage, device manager..look for conflicts in the "NETWORK ADAPTERS"

I dont have a Network Adapters thing that I can find

nvm foudn it

everything says working properly

you went to your DEVICE MANAGER, and there was no section that read NETWORK ADAPTERS?

I found it know

It was hidden

but it says nothing is wrong

still wont connect though

Unplug your cable modem for a few minutes. Most cable modems key off the MAC address of the network adapter, and yours has now changed, so it has to be reset. Unplugging it should reset it, but you may have to call the cable company.

yup, like glc said, mine said i should unplug it for exactly 2mins.
