ME crashing problem

Hi friends. Never had this problem before, but suddenly I am being troubled by system crashing on a sickeningly regular basis. Nothing has changed in either my system set-up, or hardware, or in the software that I use. I have AVG installed which has served me well in catching viruses, etc. So I am not convinced that it is a virus induced thing.

But it is annoying to get a photo set up for printing and then 'Crash' and have to boot up and do it all over again. Get an e-mail half written and 'Crash' having to boot up and go through it all again. If anyone out there can point me in the way of solving this problem then I would be so grateful. Thanks in advance. Grandad

Test your ram and hard drive with diagnostics - www.memtest.org - and hard drive diags from the hard drive manufacturer. Scan for spyware - AVG only scans for viruses. Try a system restore back to a date before the crashing started.
