Why won't my PC boot straight to Windows?

I'd prefer if my PC booted straight into Windows XP (like it used to do) instead of it stopping at the welcome screen and me having to click on my name to get into Windows. There are no other user accounts on the PC.

Anyone know how to change this setting?

Do you have a password set on your only account if not it could be your settings in control panel.

Myself I would go to start > run type ''control userpasswords2'' without quotes then enter.

Once the box appears uncheck the box that says user must enter a user name and password to use this computer. Hit apply and ok. This should fix your problem.

This happens when you install .NET - it adds a hidden account.
