Strange Windows login problems
Hi,
I'm running XP Pro in order to host a temporary website using IIS and MSSQL however, after 10 minutes it's not possible to connect to my tables (using SQL Manager) using the trusted option, I can login using one of the SQL logins created by myself. Additionally, when Windows 'timesout' to the login screen after so much inactivity, the account is prompted for a password when one isn't (yet) set onto that account - which would suggest to me that something is causing the Windows 'login system' to fail, prehaps a known issue or a virus, i've done a boot time scan with Avast! anti-virus but no such luck. I've also attemped to reformat the PC and reinstall the required software, it only replicates the above fault. Many thanks! |

Control Panel->Power option->Might consider turning off the option to require password when doing into standby.

Hi again,
I can't see such option, also - this happens even when I don't timeout. Say i'm working with MSSQL, i will suddernly get the 'cannot Generate SSPI context' error message, if I press [WIN] + L (logoff/switch), there is a password field. I've tried setting a password of my own but it rejects the login attempt. I've scanned with HiJackThis tonight, but nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.
