Windows Verify Process

When you go to Microsoft Update they install a file on your machine for verification purpose.. can this file be found and deleted.. I don't much like having microsoft put files I don't want on my machine... Just a questiton..

I dont think that information is one that is going to be allowed on this board. I have no idea what your issue is with the update verification file and downloading a file from Microsoft - considering that you are voluntarily on the Microsoft update website to download files in the first place!
Regarding the request for the information, while it is possible to do it, the information would be the same as bypassing restrictions placed on by the software manufacturer to prevent piracy. The board's rules are quite clear on that. While it is possible to try to work around the WGA .. that isn't something we want floating on this board.

If you want to get rid of the ActiveX control that it placed on your machine, open Internet Options, temporary internet files, settings, view objects. You will see something like Windows Genuine Validation. Right click, select remove. Next time you go to Windows Update or want to download something from Microsoft that requires validation, you will have to install it again.
