Unhappy Failed to set data for CPLTop

I'm running XP Pro sp2 and am having problems with the recent audio drivers. The last two versions seem to install ok, and work without problems under an administrator account.
However, when logged on a limited account - even a power user - an error occurs on the vinyl deck app closing. The error message given is:

Failed to set data for 'CPLTop'

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Some folks at Via Arena had this problem about a year back = here's a link to a solution they tried that worked for under Win2000, and might work for XP
http://forums.viaarena.com/messagevi...threadid=56327

The solution involves a permission setting in the Registry.
. . . Gary

P.S. ... there's also mention of another workaround, that involves sharing a folder: http://forums.viaarena.com/messagevi...threadid=53903

Hi
Just to let you know I'm having the same problem on a brand new computer. I've spent days trying to find a solution to this problem but no joy yet. Even the warranty support helpline doesn't know the answer. I am going to continue trying and if I ever find a solution I will let you know. All my drivers are upto date so that road leads nowhere. The only answer I keep getting is give everyone admin privileges. To me, that is the wrong answer. The computer is supposed to be able to work with different accounts and if it won't then they shouldn't sell it as so.
