I have windows 98 installed on my computer, I recently started to install XP on a second hard drive i have and then stopped the installation for a couple reasons, however now when I startup the comp it gives me 2 choices, windows 98 or XP install, how do I get into the boot ini in 98 and get rid of the XP Install option, anyone have any ideas? I have done this in XP, but I can't find the boot.ini file in windows 98???

The boot.ini is a hidden file in the root directory of your boot drive, usually C.

The path is c:\
If you are at a c:\windows> prompt, type cd\ - that will put you at a c:\> prompt. You have to remove the system, hidden, and read only attributes to edit it. |
