Office 2000 install error...?

I am having a very frustrating problem. I have an Office 2000 disc and a valid product key but I keep running into the same problem. First let me say I have installed office 2000 on my computer but my hard drive died so now I am trying to get it on my new one. I keep getting the following error message saying something like this:
"Error 1305: Error reading from file D:Pfiles\common\MsShared\Themes\Themes.inf cannot be found. Make sure the file exists or you can access it."
The installation will then give my the option to retry, or cancel the whole install, and as usual retry doesn't work. I navigated to this file on the CD and it says "setup file" in the file type column. If I try and open it only a blank notepad window opens. Any ideas? This is driving me nuts as I don't really wanna use OpenOffice since i have this CD.

Steve

If the CD is dirty even the slightest smudge might mess it up or maybe the cd drive needs cleaning

another reason could be the actual CD-Drive itself. ive seen windows and office setups be dumb on one CD-rom drive, but I change the drive, and it works perfectly

thanks guys, you suspicions may both be correct. according to a microsoft KB article i found on Error 1305, it could be a dirty or corrupted disc, or a problem with dirt in a cd drive or whatnot. I've tried it in 4 different drives so far and keep getting different problems, must be the disc. guess i'll clean it again and again and give it another go. thanks

The reason I say dirty disk is I tried to install MechWarrior Vengeance on my laptop a few months back and it said something similar to your problem and I found a couple of finger prints on the CD

I cleaned it off and it installed fine
