Try a system restore to a point before you installed/started playing with "powertoys"

I tried that but maybe didnt go bck far enough, even though I thought i did.
It was only a couple days ago.
I thought there may be a fix that could be typed in the command prompt or something. I've had notepad dye on me before and just found the excutable and made a shortcut or started it that way.
I couldnt find anything use full at MS knowledge base besides upgrading to sp2 which I am alredy at.
I will try to go bck farther in sys restore.
thanks
