Will this work?
I have the Windows XP Home Key from my old vaio and I have the Home CD. Im building a new pc and I was wondering if the code from my vaio would work with my new PC??

Nope. You need to buy a new XP CD. The EULA for XP prohibits multiple installations and chances are the Sony is keyed to the bios for that machine anyway.

Yes, I'm sure. His XP Pro key is probably a Corporate Key and what he's doing is illegal - a violation of the MS EULA.
