RAID + XP Setup Problams.

So, my friend recently had a bit of a computer meltdown due to Partition Magic + a striped RAID hdd. After struggling to find the drivers so XP could see his hdds, the XP setup keeps telling me it can't install to his hdd because it does not contain a Windows XP compatible partition, even after I format the drive to NTFS. I'm a total n00b when it comes to RAID, so I'm probably overlooking something really simple, so any help would be appreciated.

System Specs:
AMD 3200+
1g RAM
2 120gb HDD's in a RAID(0?) setup
Asus A7N8X deluxe mobo
(May not be 100% accurate as I don't know his exact specs.)

Thanks.

Welcome to PCMECH!

Does your friend have proper RAID drivers loaded before XP setup?

HTH,

Matt

Yes, I pulled the drivers off of the cd that came with the computer and XP can actually see the harddrives and the partitions, however, it keeps saying that they are not XP compatible no matter how they are formatted.
