help getting back into domain
I am on a network in which has a domain. i accidentally disconnected myself from the domain and entered into a workgroup. now i can't get back into the domain because i don't have an administrator's login. is there anything i can do besides asking for the admin's password. the domain is run on a windows 2000 server. actually, because of the situation, asking the admin's pw is not an option.

You do not necessarily need the Admin's password. You could find someone else in the Administrator Group (for the domain of course). As for as I know, you need to have either the Admin or someone in the Admin group to "approve" it. Sorry.

What do you need to do in the domain? If it is just get to a file share, then you can change your workgroup to the domain name. Doesn't work too well with some things. I would just bite the bullet and let your IT guy know. Much better that you told him rather than him finding out that you might have been doing something else.
