Video Problem....Windows problem?? ugh....

Ok, I have an E Machines here that will not show video past the windows XP loading screen. So I was going to run the machine in safe made to enable VGA mode to see if the video settings were incorrect but for some reason, windows safe mode, windows safe mode with networking or command prompt will not work, it freezes at the boot logging process when it shows everything it loads. So I tried using the recovery console but for some reason it keeps asking me for an admin password, but thers no password...??? So is a reinstall of windwos needed or a system restore cuz this is kinda weird

If you haven't set an administrator password, then try it with no password.

Otherwise, you may be looking at a reinstall if you can't even get into safe mode and you can't do a repair.
