Uh, how do I reformat my pc?

Yeah apparently my opperating system hates me (Windows XP home) and I need to reformat. What exactly is the process and what precautions should I take? i.e. saving files somewhere?

Is your hard drive partitioned into smaller drives? If it is move all your personal files to the other partitions.

Windows Reinstall: WinXP Home.

It's not partitioned at all... I have a single 250 gig hard drive. So you're telling me I could put some files like... off to the side and get rid of the rest and still keep those files??

If you have a CD-Burner or even better, a DVD-Burner, just burn whatever you want or is important that you need and reformat your PC. That is, if you have the WinXP CD, of course.

Yeah I think I'll just burn all my cool stuff to a DVD and reformat... But it's like, what to save? What to leave behind? It's like the Titanic over here
