active X controls
Hi Gang
Can some one explain what these active X controls are and what they do.? And if you really need them and if you do where is a good place to download them.? It seems they pop up when ever you are being informed about your critical updates from Microsoft, but if you click on to have them installed at that site nothing happens. Thanks............Gunny |

The Active-X website explains it as THIS. I've never had any trouble with it downloading, but seems like I may have had to check something in my browser options to get it to work properly. Maybe there's something on the update site that walks you through this?

active X
Hi Kov ice
I don't have a web site or any thing like that, and I read that it lets you open to all sorts of not so good things. Some say you really should have it and some say stay away from it. And it looks like you need it for your critical updates to work right, or is it the other way around. IE is against it too if I am correct. So what is a person to do.? It seems too many are saying do with out it. You will not miss it, and only a few things will not operate right, minor things, but at least you will not invite other problems if you have it. Take care...........Gunny |
