Internet Explorer doesn't open websites
My laptop has a DSL connection that works fine - I can do email, ftp, and direct
connections to application update servers - but IE6 will not connect to any websites. I just get an interminable blank screen and hourglass icon - not even an error message. I have set all IE options to default values. Any ideas about what might be happening here? |

I assume you come into the laptop via ethernet or wireless ethernet and if so please go to internet options, then the connections tab, then lan settings. What we want to see there is nothing checkmarked...

Has it ever worked with DSL? Did you used to have dial-up? Under Tools/Internet Options/Connections make sure Never Dial a Connection is checked...
Honestly, I'd go to Mozilla and download the Firefox browser. See if that works out.
