SB16 Emulation in DOS mode...
So I've installed FreeDos, but I couldn't get the SBLive! in my DOS working.
I've downloaded the driver for the SB16 Emulation for SBLive, configured it... When SBEINIT.COM is initialized - it says something like a "PCI device not found.... SB16 Emulation not initialized..." What should I add in the config.sys/autoexec.bat?

It's been awhile since I've worked with DOS, but I remember one thing you need in the autoexec.bat file is a line like this:
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 H5 P330 T6 I don't know if that SBLive takes any more parameters or whether that line alone will do it though. Worked for all the soundblaster cards I ever had. Make sure you don't put any spaces between the word BLASTER and the = sign, and between the = sign and the A220.

You also need himem.sys and emm386.exe in the config.sys.

I did that already - I squeeze these config.sys statements at the last minute.
![]() But - still it's saying that the PCI device is not detected or whatever it is. I have even written down SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1..... What else I could miss out? The PCI device driver?

I assume you are dual booting? If so, does the sound card work in Windows or whatever other OS is on it?

I'm assuming you want to play DOS games. If so, try DOSBox from your existing OS. It runs a DOS emulator and usually will detect all the right hardware for you without configuration.

Yes, the sound card is working in WinXP. But I have no idea why this is not working in DOS mode.
