networking through router?

I did it before some time ago, but now it does not seem to work how to network through a router from an XP pro windows to windows 2000 computer or from XP pro to XP pro PC.

I want to use my printer on my other computer. I shared it to my other PC, but doesn't seem to work.

Are you having any success in the two computers recognizing one another? Both computers must have identical workgroup names. Have you run the Networking Wizard in XP?

Find the shared printer in My Network Places, right click on it, select Connect.
