Windows help
Ok i need professional advice very fast. I have to choose between windows xp home, windows xp professional and window media center edition 2005.
Can someone please explain to me most of the things you can do with these. Does windows xp home have the same protections as windows xp pro. I know window media center if more well.....(media) but does if offer better security than pro and home? Thanks for your advice and help.

if its for your home i suggest XP home, it does exactly the same as XP pro except for the networking. Windows XP pro is better when your in use of networking, thats why most office use XP pro

Well i got like 4 computer here at home on a network right now so then i guess pro is good for me. How about media center edition 2005 . Is that good at networking too just with extra features?

Ive heard nice reviews about the MCE 2005, thought its really expensive. for just new "lazy" features (such as the remote control). anyway i think your better with XP pro

MCE is XP Pro with the added media functionalities, so the security would be the same.

You don't need Pro for a home network with simple filesharing.
