Recovery of Outlook express

I recently formatted a partition on my computer it happened to be the C one and installed windows 2000. I already had windows 2000 on a partition on my computer it was E I also had couple of other partitions with very little on them and I formatted them when doing this the partition which I had the first win 2000 on which was E drive changed to F I also have a second hard drive and that is listed as D. After I installed the windows 2000 onto C I now can`t get into the other Windows 2000 which is now F
So when I set up my E mail in the 2000 on the C partition I lost all my E mail from the other windows and also my address book I did not delete it but seems to me everything is gone. I havetried doing the search but can`t find it anywehre .
Downloaded lots of recovery programs so far can`t seem to find it but than again am not sure about them as you have to buy them to make sure I have no intention of buying them unless they are going to work.
I had lots of E mails in drafts saved I think I can probably manage with out them
but would like my address book lots of my addresses are saved but their are two at least that I can`t get again.
I do have some E mails saved in my documents can get all them but not the ones in outlook express.
I have tried most everything I can think of any one any more ideas.
One other thing when doing the search do you put the * .wab or just *.wab.
I do hope you can understand what I am trying to do. Thanks

Search for *.wab and *.dbx. When you find the right ones, you can import them in, file - import - address book, and file, import, messages, OE6, OE6 store directory. The .dbx files will be under documents and settings\username\local settings\application data\identities\a bunch of numbers\microsoft\outlook express. These are hidden folders, you have to show them in your folder view options.

Did you import the correct set of .dbx files?

Yes but not for the one I am using now . Doesn`t matter anymore as of late last night was able to get them opened enough in their codes to get what information I needed.
I was surprised on what I read on the recovery. Some were really clear one I got opened gave me all addresses from the person that sent the E mail. Wasn`t happy about that as feel I got into her computer some how.
Must have something to do with protection.
