After that i had those windows popup windows in the right bottom corner saying that my computer is infected but they went away after a day, THANK GOD. Anyway what i have noticed is that i cant open my TASK MANAGER everytime i press cntr+alt+del i get this massage window that sais "The Task Manager has been disabled by administrator". how can i fix it, i am only one who is using this computer and i am the only administrator. How can i fix it?? I really dont want to format! it was only a month since i formatted. please help

Go to Start->Run, type Regedit.exe (Including the .exe extension) and click Ok.

Go to Start->Run, type CMD.exe (Including the .exe extension) and click Ok.

Let me know the outcome.

Also try this:

Download the following file and double click on it.

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs...cmdrestore.vbs

If you receive a security warning about this script, allow it to run.

There is/was a file released that removed and corrected the smitfraud infections, this infection does some of the same things so it might be worthwhile searching for it, smitfruad.reg I think.

Wow Thank you very much, that reg file from the link u gave me did the trick.
Can you tell me what did it do and why it happened. Did the spyware that i had overwrote something and this file fixed it?
