Setting up a network connection in Korea
I'm here in the ROK and a Win 98 computer I am using was recently fixed up after a major disruption. It is connected to a network via an ethernet cord, but is not connecting when I load Explorer.
I tried to run the connection wizard but it was all in strange characters. Is there some way I can temporarily make the Windows in English, or alternatively, is there a way to configure the computer from Dos? Any advice is welcome. |

Can you make any sense of what you see when you open the Network applet in Control Panel? What do you need for compatibility - TCP/IP with IP address assigned automatically or do you need to assign a static IP?

I wish I knew what to say about the IP. I'm connecting to the Internet through a computer downstairs from the problem-computer. Both of these computers are connected to 5Ports fast ethernet switching hub.
I tried running a wizard, but it was the connection wizard, I think I need the network connection wizard, maybe they are the same thing? |

Well, I was able to get connected using screenshots from he web to help me navigate. The connection was already there, I just had to click the correct radio buttons. Thanks for the attention.
