Boot in safe mode

How can I directly boot a laptop with xp in safe mode? Can I do it from the bios screen. This laptop has so much spyware and crap on it, I can't connect to the internet or run any programs. Everything comes up with errors. Thanks

F8 is used with all versions of Windows to get into safe mode.

Right after the Bios goes away, start pressing F8.

If you can access the desktop without going into safe mode download Ad-Aware, Spy bot search and destroy and run them.. Also do a disk clean up by opening up My computer>right click on your current drive>choose properties>choose disk clean up.... Also clean out your cookies, and do a complete virus scan for viruses and Trojans.... You also might want to run Hijack This and post its findings....

I alos recommend going in Windows Explorer choose you drive, go to the Windows folder choose prefetch in the right pan select all and delete...It is recommended to do this ever once in a while....
