corrupted Windows MCE oem install

the tittle basicly says my problem in a nut shell. When i was installing the OS windows mce i got a pop up asking to insert sp2 cd. of course i didnt expect that so i skipped that file on the install figuring i could fix that at the MS updates page. When i finished windows xp was installed but not all of it or very functional. It just loads explorer, minimal control panel setting, i cant go online from that pc to download updates. To solve this i read on different thread to slipstream. tried a slipstream install of xp. that didnt do much either cause i got a different pop up during that install asking for nvidia drivers. the only nvidia drivers i have are from the mobo, but the floppy disk labels say raid.

i figure my only option is to wipe the hdd clean and start over. im kinda stumped now. How would i go about wiping out the hdd and starting over from an oem source?
my mobo is a msi k8n neo4, primary hdd 250gb

hope my rant makes sense heh

Just boot to the XP cd and select New Installation. When it finds the existing XP installation and offers another repair option, select New installation on that one too. But don't start the new install until you Delete the existing partition(s). Then Create a new partition and format it (not quick format) in NTFS. This assumes you are using a holograhic XP disk. I'm not sure what you mean by "oem source".

Yes i meant the holographic disks. Thank you Panama. I also read your relpy in a different thread to a somewhat similar problem. I dissconnected the internal usb device for card readers and then reinstalled OS. After that all when great. i just have to configure lan, updates, and that pc is good to go. thanks again

Glad you picked up on the card reader problem. I had to learn that one the hard way. Nice work and you're very welcome.
