noob question - start menu/mouse hovering
HI, i have XP home and when i click start and 'all programs' then hover my mouse over a folder such as 'Microsoft Games' nothing happens, i can click it and the menu then appears but i want it to open when i have my mouse over it so i dont have to click everything.
i have the setting 'open submenus when i pause on them with my mouse' enabled but it still doesnt work :/ i think it broke when i used Tweak UI but i cant find any settings to change it back which is a bit annoying. anyone know whats up? Nathan |

If you are familiar with the registry try going to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop and look for the registry key: MenuShowDelay what is the value? The default value should be 400, try setting it to 400, reboot and see if it works. A shorter delay will of course activate the submenus on smaller pauses. |

Tweaking programs are just front ends to what the registry can do, frequently hiding the mechanics behind what they actually do can cause more of an issue because you wouldn't exactly know what they broke.
I dont touch tweak UI, but I can still do every one of the tweaks that they can with simple registry edits. |
