MS Software License

Can I purchase a Windows XP upgrade if I have a fully licensed version of Windows 2000?

Thanks

While you can do this, why not get an OEM copy for essentially the same money? The benefits are:
1) You can use both operating sytems, the upgrade license EULA will require that you not use the old OS anywhere else.
2) You must keep the old OS in case you ever need to do a reinstall.

Your loss is that you can not get support frm MS which if I am not wrong is limited to 3 phone calls anyway and you'll get better support here.

You do still get all the service packs and other updates from MS with an OEM.
