How??

Do I get rid of the window that pops up when booting up and asks for a name and password?

Go to Start...Run, then type "control userpasswords2" at the prompt, without the quotes. Uncheck "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer."

or you can go to the control pannel, select users account and remove it from there

When i type "control userpasswords2" on my wifes computer it does nothing.

I cant get to this window. How come?

Check out: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=827072 and try updating your .net framework to 1.1
