Weird problem with my OS (WinXP)
I have an annoying problem that I believe is connected to my OS--WinXP with SP 2,
At different intervals a box pops up on the screen asking if you want to work offline. This happens whether or not I'm online. When I go to the drop-down box that has "Work Offline" near the bottom I see a CHECK mark next to it. After I uncheck the mark it reappears a little later WITHOUT doing anything. Its almost like it has a mind of its own. I sometimes run an anti-spyware program offline and I play games offline but thats it! I've never put a check next to "Work Offline" . It might not sound like much but its just as annoying as advertising pop-up ads. So far no one can shed any light on why this happens OR how to stop it. Anyone have a clue? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions y'all can offer! Thanks, CI |

This happens to me when I first install an OS and try to connect to the net. Once I click connect it never shows up again.
Try running the internet connection wizard again, someone else may have a better answer for ya. |

Enhanced,
This has been going on for the past couple months and now its become more frequent. The OS was installed about 18-24 months ago. For all I know it may be time to R n R the OS. Thanks for LMK what your experience was with it. Heck,if ti was an advertising pop-up at least I would have something to read! LOL |
