Stupid little scrolling question
Ok there has to be a simple fix for this, but I can't find it. I read a lot of long documents on the web, and I have always used the arrow keys to scroll down them. It's just quicker then the mouse. I'd click on the title bar of a page and it would be selected and I could scroll down. But all of a sudden just after restarting my computer clicking the title bar of a web page throws the text cursor to the start of the page so that I have to scroll that down to the end of the page to move the text along. How do I get it to stop doing that? I can't find any settings that should be doing it. I'm using Firefox if that helps any. I'm at a loss for such a basic thing.

Does it happen on all sites?
Might consider-> Don't click on the Title Bar Or-> Click in a Neutral spot on the page.

Clicking on a blank spot on a site just throws the text cursor to the nearest text block. Like I said it's weird.
edit: I managed to find it. Somehow the "Allow text to be selected with the Keyboard" got selected in Firefox options. Had to have been my cat. Last edited by Staren; 01-19-2006 at 07:03 AM. |
