Unhappy Deleting a key in Registry?

I am trying to tidy up registry and i have a key that i cannot delete from Hkey local machine / software , it is a Sygate Tech. inc. Any suggestions please?

Did you originally uninstall the application? Might check in Task Manager to see if it's still running.

Check permissions on the key .. they follow the same schema as file permissions (right click and select permissions). You should be able to delete keys even if the program is installed or running.

Yes i did uninstall it a year ago, right clicking shows i have full authority but i cannot delete the key.
