greedo power light blinks in hibernation state

I have noticed for sometime that on my desktop listed in sig that when I go into hibernation that the power light blinks real slow slower then if it was on stand by.

My question is, is it even supposed to blink at all? my laptop does not blink in hibernation state

Is it having problems going into or coming out of hibernation? Or are you just curious as to the difference between your laptop and desktop?

It is not supposed to blink at all. It is supposed to save the active state on the hard drive and then turn off. The blinky means that you havent shut off completely.

the hibernation works ok I mean the only way to turn it on while in hibernation is to push the on/off switch but standby I just have to move the mouse so I guess it works it's just the power light blink and I didnt think it was right BUT it does work

When it goes into hibernation everything shuts down fan and all the only thing is the power led blinks (every 4 sec) and pressing the power switch it boots up to were it left off ,so I don't know what to think but I did notice that when I goto stand by mode the led blinks every two sec instead of 4 when in hibernation I don't know if it means anything but thats what it does

Like stated earlier I must be one of those worry worts

There's a bios setting that controls the behavior of the power light. Dig around and you will find it.
