fqpissed How To Clean Install New Build

Have finished my new build with the help of the PCMech CD with no problems. However, after installing the additional utilities on the mobo cd the system does not show the START and has to be shut down with Task Manager. No MS Office installed only Norton. No virus detected. No internet connection yet. I need to clean install XP Pro to sort the problem out.
Can someone let me know, in the most basic way, the individual steps I have to do to get this done.
I have MS Windows 2000 Pro with the four boot disks. Could this be used.
With no Start on the screen I have limited acces/difficulty to get all the different info on the screen, e.g., Control Panel, My Computer, but it is possible eventually.

Set your PC to boot from your CD Rom. Boot from the XP CD and follow the onscreen directions. This link shows a step bt step install procedure. Start with #3.
