windows XP icons...where?
where are windows icon stored?so i can edit them
and is it possible to edit an icon in paint? i just want to add a little text to an icon. thanks

You can't edit icons in paint, you will need some special kind of icon editor or resource editor.
A lot of the standard Windows icons are in the \system32\shell32.dll file in your Windows folder. |

thanks, yea i see some specialist editors on google, but they are probably loaded with SpW...any suggestions?

I haven't used one in a long time. I doubt that most of the freeware icon editors out there have spyware.
