To wait or not to wait (for Vista). THAT is the question
I plan on building a new gaming rig this summer, and can't wait (my first build acutally. The reason I'm waiting till the summer is because I'm very busy with studies/sports/ect. so I can't get a job to earn money for a pc
). Anyways, I plan on building it around late July/early August. The question is, should I wait a few more months (possibly) for Windows Vista, or just go right away with XP Pro?Any thoughts/advice are greatly appreciated! |

The question is why do you plan to wait for Vista? Is it for hardware specs? Performance increases with vista?
1) If you were to build your system today, esp a gaming rig, you are going to have pretty high end hardware that will more than meet your requirements for Vista 2) There is absolutely no telling how Vista will look like at least for the first few months till patches are issued, game developers get on board with the new system, incompatibilities sorted out etc etc etc.. Having said that, if you have no pressing need for a system, then holding off for as long as you can will give you better specs for roughly the same $. |
