pc creates its own folders

We use windows 2000 sp4 when i create a new account eg juley the pc creates another folder called juley.pc and juley.pc.0001 each with duplicated folders of the original juley folder inside .....how can i prevent this from happening in future ...as we now have three desktop folders with juley as part of the name ...!?

Differences in the User Profiles in Windows
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/269378/en-us

Quote:
Windows 2000 and Windows XP handle duplicate down-level account names as well but in a slightly more intuitive manner. A suffix is placed on the username of the profile that is either the name of the domain, if the user account is a domain account, or the name of the computer, if the user account is a local user account. If, by chance, another user with the same name from the same domain or computer logs onto the machine, Windows 2000 or Windows XP adds a .000 suffix to the domain or computer name. If the action happens again, it then starts incrementing the .000 as well.

now i have deleted the account juley and added another account called juley but this time i have not shared the folder called juley ..this has prevented the additional .000 folders from being created .. everything is fine now ...
