My Computer oddities...

Hey recently for some reason when i open up my computer and double click my Local Hard Disk (C it opens up a new window and the new window is a search box for finding files on the hard drive. Is there a option that i ticked wrong? Does it have something to do with Tweak UI?

Also for awhile whenever i would put in a portable device (i.e. thumb drive, psp)

It would not show up on the My Computer window but instead it would show up in Firefox's download dialogue box.

But recently it returned to normal so that's okay. But i would like to know how to rememdy this situation or find out how or why this works...thanks

Yes it does have something to do with TweakUI.
It gives you access to settings that aren't usually exposed and further enhances them.
You have to decide if you want that or not.

It sounds like you downloaded something from the web to a portable drive, forgot to change back, and XP Pro returned to the default setting on it's own.
