On a certain website I receive the following: "Runtime Error", "Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library", "Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe abnormal program termination".
I am using Windows XP Home SP2; went to Microsoft's IE site and their recommendation was to delete all the Windows temp files. When I attempted to delete all the temp files I had four files that would not delete: JETEDCB.tmp, ~ROMFN_000003F8, JET308.tmp and JETFB28.tmp. I still get the same, above message after deleting all the temp files except the four listed. I am soliciting any ideas to help me with this problem. Thank you! |

Which MS KB article are you using that says that cleaning out temp files will correct out the error?
That error is usually indicative of a spyware. Do a thorough spyware scan using at least 2 antispyware scanners. Tons of listings here: http://groups.google.ca/groups?q=IE+...am+termination Good comprehensive information here: http://www.alegsa.com.ar/N/i42/Iexpl...me%20error.php Details about CommonName http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/CommonName.html |

Sorry for the delay in responding; like you had lots going on. I took your advice and ran three different spywares and the problem with that computer still exists. Interestingly it only occurs when I enter that website to update my web page. Guess I will have to call technical support but I am sure they will tell me what you have already suggested. At any rate I wanted to express to you my thanks for your quick response and, once again, I apologize for not responding sooner. |
