I just tried to find a recent post of mine that had some links to the fix, but couldn't find it!??! A quick Forum search on "task manager disabled" and you find some good threads on the subject.

If you are the administrator and you haven't disabled it .. it could be that something has written something it shouldnt have into the registry. Open ye olde registry editor (start > run > regedit)
Navigate to: HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System On the right you should see a registry value: DisableTaskMgr with a value of 1 .. double click on it and turn it to 0; reboot. |
