New Drive position, can't acsses windows

Please some one help me! Windows was installed and running on my physical D drive, booting from the physical C drive and all was fine. Now my C drive is dead and I can't get windows to boot. I installed a new windows to a new directory on my now C Drive, not touching the old directoy. When I run recovery consal it asks if I want to log on to 1. New windows or 2. Windows. When I run bootcfg add, it only comes up with New Windows! I have data in my documents that can't be replaced and won't alow me to access. Can some one help me step by step to get the information back? Especialy the pictures of my new born twins.

What if I update the new widows to sp2 and creat the same user account and password. Would that not give me access to the files?

Right click the folder in question and choose Properties. Click on the Security tab and then click Advanced. In the new dialog box click on the Owner tab and choose your account to become the owner and to replace owner on subcontainers. Click Apply and close the dialog boxes. You should now be able to access anything inside the folder.
