Explorer opens system32 upon boot

Have been working on a badly infected computer and it is better but every time i turn on the computer or reboot explorer opens up the system32 folder. where can this be fixed?

I don't know if the /blank.htm is missing from the following setting, or the start page is set to this directory, or if it's a more complex problem. But,
make sure that the start page is not pointing to this directory.

If it isn't,
Try this (back up registry before attempting this)
Start >> Run type in regedit
Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Software >> Microsoft >> Main
There is a setting there called local page
It should point to windows/system32/blank.htm

Thanks, you were right. I actually got it fixed before you answered but i truly appreciate the time you took to help me. I hope someone else gains some knowledge from this as well.
I fixed it with Micrososft Antispy's advanced options to restore IE's page settings.
