Is there any software that can be run from recovery console to retrieve key?

I haven't used this but it looks good:

You don't need the key to re-install though. I mean, once you have installed you can get the magic jelly bean to recover your key and then register.

Ryan, that assumes that Windows will start. I'm assuming that the poster asked about the recovery console because it won't start Windows.
However, I think we have found out that a repair reinstall of Windows will not ask for the key. |
