Internet Explorer has dissapeared!
Sounds silly but..
All icons for my browser are gone! The only way i am able to launch the program is by going in MY COMPUTER and clicking the Windows Update tab, otherwise i can't find it anywhere, not even in START>PROGRAM>ETC any idea how to restore it or put a link on my desktop? the prog is still there, just not showing up anywhere

Try doing a System Restore to the last time you had the icon, it should solve the problem - Start>Programs>Accesories>System Tools>System Restore.

or you can try this. go into the add/remove programs and click on add/remove windows components and uncheck internet explorer click next, then go back into add/remove windows components and check internet explorer again and click next, it should add the icons back.

I tried Ob1's method, and my computer started to make weird sounds and flames came out of the dvd tray
 lol just kidding it's all back to normal now, thanks
